Who Can Apply (Qualifications)

  • Filipino citizen
  • At least 18 years old on the date of filing of application
  • Of good moral character
  • Has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense involving moral turpitude, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or drug addiction
  • Has not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from government service
  • Has not taken the same level of Career Service Exam within three (3) months before the exam date
  • Has not previously passed the same level of the Career Service Exam being applied for

What to Bring (Application Requirements)

  • Fully accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2023 — Professional or Subprofessional). Available at any CSC Regional/Field Office or downloadable at www.csc.gov.ph
  • Four (4) identical ID pictures, passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), colored, white background, taken within the last 3 months, in bare face, full-face view, with a HAND-HELD name tag showing a handwritten signature over the printed full name
  • Original and photocopy of one accepted government ID (e.g., Driver’s License, Passport, PRC, SSS/GSIS UMID, Voter’s ID, PhilID, PhilHealth, Postal ID, NBI Clearance, etc.)
  • Examination fee of Five Hundred Pesos (₱500.00)
  • If applicable: PSA/LCR Birth Certificate (for applicants without a birth date on their ID), or Identification Certificate from the Bureau of Immigration (for dual citizens)

Scope of the Exam

  • General Information (English): Philippine Constitution; Code of Conduct & Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713); Peace and Human Rights; Environmental Management and Protection
  • Verbal Ability (English & Filipino): word meaning, sentence completion, error recognition, sentence structure, paragraph organization, reading comprehension
  • Analytical Ability (English): word analogy, symbolic/abstract reasoning, identifying assumptions and drawing conclusions, data interpretation
  • Numerical Ability (English): basic operations, number sequence, word problems
  • Subprofessional also includes Clerical Ability: filing, spelling

Passing Grade

  • To pass, an examinee must get a general rating of at least 80.00.

Important Notes

  • Applications are accepted on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis and may close early once a CSC office reaches its target number of applicants.
  • The CSC holds no review classes and accredits no review centers or materials.
  • Sharing or posting actual test questions/answers online is prohibited and may carry liability under the Anti-Cheating Law (R.A. 9416).
