Who runs Pasa

Hi, I'm GMBOY. Took and passed the AFPSAT in 2021; now an officer in the Philippine Army. Built Pasa from the reviewer materials and notes put together while preparing for that exam. I built Pasa so other examinees would have a better version of what I had to piece together on my own, and I still update it based on what I remember mattering most on exam day.

Pasa — short for "Aral. Sagot. Pasa." ("Study. Answer. Pass.") — is a free reviewer built for Filipinos preparing for the Civil Service Exam (CSE) and the AFPSAT. The idea is simple: studying for a major exam shouldn't require an account, a subscription, or a single peso. You should be able to open a quiz, answer some questions, see what you got wrong, and understand why — without anything getting in the way.

This site exists because exam prep in the Philippines is often scattered across outdated Facebook posts, paid review centers, and reviewer PDFs of questionable accuracy. Pasa was built to bring practice questions, explanations, and study guides into one place that's free, mobile-friendly, and easy to use on a phone during a commute or a lunch break — which is realistically when most examinees actually study.

Why this site exists

Anyone who has sat through the CSE or the AFPSAT knows the anxiety of not knowing what to expect. Pasa's quizzes and guides are written with that experience in mind — focused on the kinds of questions, mistakes, and timing pressure that actually show up on exam day, rather than generic test-prep filler.

How the content is maintained

Questions and guides are reviewed for clarity and accuracy before they're published, and the question bank grows over time as new items are added and existing ones are refined. Examinees can also submit a question they encountered or thought of, which is reviewed privately before being added to the public question bank — no personal information is collected through that form.

What Pasa is not

Pasa is an independent, privately run study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) or the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Practice questions are written to reflect the general style and difficulty of these exams for study purposes, but they are not official exam materials. Always confirm current requirements, schedules, and rules on official CSC and AFP sources.
